about the client:
Althea is a 10,000 sq. ft. event space located inside the Aloft Lake Nona hotel. At the intersection of culture, sport, and music, the venue pays tribute to Althea Gibson — an icon in tennis, golf, and music — making it a meaningful fit for Lake Nona’s active community and Aloft’s music-driven brand.
the brief:
While the venue was still under construction, we asked to design an initial Instagram grid to tease the opening, build brand awareness, and create a visual tone. With existing logo but no photography of the space, we needed to craft a feed that connected Althea’s legacy and the event space.

We designed a layered, collage-inspired grid that wove together renderings, archival photos of Althea Gibson, brand elements, and textured accents. A neutral and gold-toned palette added elegance and warmth, while the layout conveyed both modern sophistication and historical homage, setting the stage for the venue’s identity and online presence.
